🏆 This week I hit my 2025 YouTube goal of 25K subscribers! I appreciate everyone who's supported my YouTube Channel and I'm keeping my foot on the gas until I hit 100K subs. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already 🙂 🛑 Stop Using Custom GPTsCustom GPTs are now obsolete in my opinion. I just made an updated comparison video breaking down GPTs vs Projects, and Projects win in almost every category. Custom GPTs were cool when they first launched. But now that free users can build Projects and OpenAI keeps adding features that only work in Projects, there's barely any reason to use GPTs anymore. RIP to the gurus selling Custom GPT courses 💀 If you want to see how I create ChatGPT Projects step-by-step I recommend watching my new ChatGPT Projects Tutorial. Why ChatGPT Projects > GPTsUnless you need to share a GPT across the internet or inside the GPT Store, Projects are superior in every other way for these reasons:
The choice is clear to me. ChatGPT Projects > Custom GPTs. 🤯 OpenAI Releases Sora 2 AI Video Model I'm guessing you've heard the news but OpenAI dropped Sora 2 this week, and it's all the hype right now. I'll admit the quality of Sora 2 looks super impressive, as it now generates video AND audio together. In terms of real-world application, I can see this being useful for product demos, launch videos, B-Roll, UGC, "how to" content, and more. For more details I'd check out OpenAI's Sora Announcement and also the examples on their website. The first version of Sora was a bust. Google's Veo 3 model is superior and Sora was only worthwhile to ChatGPT Pro users ($200/month plan). Also, keep in mind the demos of these new models are ALWAYS better than what users can actually generate lol. I'm still waiting for a Sora 2 invite code and I plan on making a YouTube video once I get access. If you have an invite code feel free to share 😉 OpenAI's New Sora Social Media AppThis is where things get interesting... And concerning. OpenAI didn't just release a new video generation model. They built a full social network around 'Sora'. You can like, comment, follow creators, and scroll an endless "For You" feed of AI-generated content. This to me feels like an AI slop clone of TikTok. This is what concerns me - Think about how 'brain rotted' you have to be to enjoy doom scrolling AI slop on Sora... This is a net negative for society IMO. Within the Sora app you can also create your own cameo. Is this the end for AI tools like HeyGen and ElevenLabs? And somehow the Sora app is already ranked #1 in the Apple App Store... My Overall Thoughts on Sora 2While the technology of Sora 2 is impressive with real world implications for content creation, I think the Sora app is a massive waste of talent and resources. What good comes from doom scrolling AI-generated content? It is hard for me to be optimistic about this... What do you think about Sora 2?
