👋 Why I Cancelled Most of my AI Tools

Five months ago my AI tool stack looked like a Best Buy receipt. ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Gemini Advanced, Perplexity Pro, Opus Clip, Make, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, etc. etc.

Today? I've consolidated this down to a handful of tools that have increased both my output quality and efficiency.

The reason for the cut is simple - AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex can now handle most of what 10 separate AI tools used to do. And they do it inside one interface with full context of my files, skills, and brand.

Instead of bouncing between 10 tabs trying to stitch a workflow together, I run social media, SEO, landing pages, image generation, and other tasks all from one interface. Less context switching, better outputs, lower monthly spend.

🤖 My 2026 AI Tool Stack

Here are the 5 AI tools in my stack right now:

1. Claude Code ($100/mo Claude Max plan) - my #1 daily driver for work. Handles social media, SEO content, landing pages, and other business tasks in one interface with my skill files loaded.

2. Codex ($20/mo ChatGPT Plus plan) - Codex is a steal right now for only $20 as you get more usage than Claude Code, GPT-5.5 is a solid model, and GPT Image 2 model is the best image model right now IMO.

3. Blotato ($29/mo) - My AI social media manager that natively integrates with Claude Code via MCP. I generate posts in Claude Code and schedule it straight into Blotato.

4. OpenRouter (pay as you go) - You only need one API key to access every major model (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Seedance, Veo) right inside Claude Code. This replaces juggling 10+ separate API keys.

5. VoiceInk ($39 lifetime) - My voice-to-text tool that is for Mac only. Way cheaper than Whisper Flow and brain-dumping into Claude Code/Codex is way faster than typing.

I also pay for Google AI Pro ($20/mo) for the added 5TB of storage that I desperately need for large video files lol.
