Skills are markdown files that give Claude Code specific instructions for different tasks. Social media writing, thumbnail creation, anti-slop formatting, whatever you need. The real magic is instant feedback loops. When Claude makes a mistake, I tell it to update the skill file so it never makes that mistake again. The skill evolves with every task. Think about how different this is than using a Custom GPT or ChatGPT Project. Skills are WAY more efficient than GPTs. Each time you want to update a GPT or Project you have to manually update instructions and add/remove knowledge. Pro Tip: Like everything else in AI, the more context and examples you provide the better your Skills will be. I briefly cover Skills in my Claude Code tutorial but I will be creating a Claude Skills video sometime in the near future. π€ Is ClawdBot (Moltbot) Worth the Hype?ClawdBot (now called MoltBot) has been all over my feed this week on YouTube and X (Twitter). And of course all the AI hype grifters try to convince you how "insane" ClawdBot is... My Honest Take: For 99% of people, this is another shiny AI object. ClawdBot is an open-source AI agent that controls your computer via messaging apps like Telegram or WhatsApp. Infinite memory. Zero guardrails. And that's the problem. Giving it access to your email, device files, and accounts without oversight is risky. Prompt injection attacks could let someone steal your personal data remotely. The smarter starting point is using Claude Code with a strong skills setup. You get oversight instead of full autonomy. You monitor workflows instead of hoping nothing breaks. I am excited for Anthropic and Google to draw inspiration from ClawdBot's ideas, but for most people the risk of installing ClawdBot outweighs the reward. π€ But Here's What ClawdBot Got RightClawdBot showed us something bigger than one tool. It was a preview of demand that's about to explode for local AI setups. Open-source models are improving by the day, and running locally with no monthly fees or big tech guardrails. βMac Minis are flying off shelves and some predictions have them at $1,800 by 2027.
